What Happens At Your First Orthodontic Appointment?
On your first visit, we will perform a diagnostic exam. Depending on your condition, we may take digital scans, X-rays and photos. The doctor will use these records and look at your mouth to design your treatment plan. Early diagnosis of potential orthodontic problems is important. That’s why we recommend early first visits so we can prepare for any potential difficulties.

Diagnosing Your Orthodontic Problem
For our first-time patients, we often like to perform a diagnostic exam to facilitate treatment. Diagnostics often take only about a half hour to complete. Depending on your condition, we may take X-rays and photos of your mouth during the exam, as well as impressions for our records.
