Los retenedores de ortodoncia pueden ser de alambre, metal o material transparente, o una combinación de ambos. Utah Orthodontic Care trabajará con usted para encontrar la mejor opción para sus necesidades de tratamiento.
Usted tendrá que usar su retenedor después de los apoyos o alineadores se han eliminado. El único momento en que no los usa es durante el cepillado, uso de hilo dental, las comidas, o cuando se sustituye por un protector bucal durante la práctica de deportes. Para algunos planes de tratamiento, requerimos retenedores cementados que pueden actuar un poco como los frenos. Por lo general, estos no están diseñados para ser usados para siempre.
Es importante que cuides y limpies tus retenedores con regularidad; ¡su sustitución es cara! Tendrás una funda protectora para mantener tus retenedores a salvo de roturas o pérdidas cuando no los uses. Si accidentalmente dañas o pierdes tu retenedor, llámanos inmediatamente; esperar para sustituirlos puede revertir tu progreso.
